Thank you for registering for Faith Lutheran VBS 2017!
DEEP SEA DISCOVERY
June 26 -30
9:00 - 11:30am
At Deep Sea Discovery VBS, kids dive into God’s presence by delving deep into His Word to see how He has been with His people every step of the way. Every kid will sail away each day saying
“God is with me – wherever I go! He KNOWS me, HEARS me, STRENGTHENS me, LOVES me, and SENDS me!”
VBS begins Monday, June 26 at 9:00am. We recommend arriving by 8:45 on Monday morning to allow extra time to get everyone settled in.
PARKING is in our main parking lot off David St. SE on the west side of the Faith Lutheran campus. Please leave the small parking lot in front of the church off Pacific Ave open for those with mobility issues.
PAYMENT INFORMATION: Have you already dropped off the $5/per child payment at the church or school office? If so, then the registration process is complete and your child(ren) is/are now enrolled. Payments may still be made at the offices this week before VBS begins. If you’ve chosen to complete your registration Monday morning, please bring $5/per child in cash, or check payable to FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH.
WHAT TO EXPECT MONDAY MORNING: On the first day, all children must have a parent/guardian sign them in with their crew leader (WATCH FOR A SEPARATE EMAIL WITH DETAILS ABOUT YOUR ASSIGNED CREW TEAM). Coming from the David St. parking lot, walk past the large Community Center to get to the church building. If you need to pay your registration fee(s) or have any questions please stop by the Registration/Help desk, otherwise head into the sanctuary and find your child’s crew/team sign. Sign in with the leader and children will receive their crew t-shirt that can be slipped over their clothes the first day.
DROP-OFF: Our mornings begin together in chapel with songs, a message, and offering. Our offerings this year will provide classroom supplies for English teacher Valarie Stonebreaker’s junior and senior high school students in Togo, Africa. After opening, crews will circulate through various stations for the rest of the morning.
SNACK: A themed snack will be offered each day.
Monday: Build Your Own Aquarium (graham crackers, Goldfish crackers, blue frosting, sprinkles and grapes)
Tuesday: Deep Sea Jell-O (blue Jell-O, Swedish Fish, graham crackers)
Wednesday: Dolphin Tales (banana, blueberries, Goldfish crackers)
Thursday: Shark Bait (popcorn, M&Ms, Goldfish crackers)
Friday: Starfish Sugar Cookies (sugar cookies, colored frosting and sprinkles)
Children with allergies, food sensitivities/intolerances have been individually noted and will be offered a snack appropriate for their dietary needs. Parents who wish to send their own snack with their child must send peanut/nut-free items.
PICK-UP: Our mornings end together in chapel with songs and a message. Crew leaders will release children to their parents/guardians after closing chapel. PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD LEAVE UNTIIL YOU HAVE SIGNED THEM OUT WITH THEIR CREW LEADER.
FAQs
WHAT IF I MUST PICK UP MY CHILD EARLY FROM VBS?
